WHY I YOGA
My yoga journey started back in 2013. During this time I was all over the place mentally, physical, and spiritually and I knew something had to change. As I started practicing what came up for me was the ability to become still (at one with self). Complete stillness allows you to solely focus on you and during that time of stillness you find clarity in all things. But, of course I am human and I fell off the wagon because I allowed life to get in the way. The winter of 2018 I took back control over my life. I found myself back in the same space of a whole lot of unnecessary confusion. At that moment I promised myself to take care of me! I knew yoga was the way so, I started back practicing with the intention of self-care.
Yoga is intentional breathing, movement, and for me it is absolutely a state of mind. In my yoga state of mind I become my purest self with no attachments, stripped of all outside stresses and distractions.
Fast forward to now I am a Certified Yoga Instructor based in Chicago, Illinois since 2019. I have guided hundreds of individuals in their yoga journeys with the sole intention of self-care. Self-care. Has. To. Be. Priority! Through self care we're able to effectively take care of others. As humans we are obligated to take care of each other.
